In honor of Maiv Muas’ late father’s long and prosperous life, she wrote “Txiv Tus Nkauj Ntxawm” to share about the daughter-father journey they both endured and walked together. Her father experienced aging, dementia and loneliness. As she navigated through her academic and professional careers, she focuses on the feelings of shame, sadness, anticipated grief, and homesickness through storytelling, music and visualization.
